Remington Keratin Treatment Hair Straightener

Hi lovelies!
I have recently purchased the Remington Keratin Treatment Hair Straightener, I got it for $79.95 (AUS)... it was on special, it is usually $103.

I chose to by this particular hair straightener merely because of the keratin in the plates. I was looking for a decent straightener that wouldn't damage my hair as much as they usually do and I thought the keratin in it might help. It has a sensor on it aswell which I thought was pretty cool, so it senses the condition of your hair and automatically adjusts the temperature accordingly (this is optional to use this feature!)

Holding the hair straightener feels really good. It isn't too heavy that your arm will start to hurt as you straighten your hair, and its not too light. The buttons on the side are alittle hidden from your hand when you actually hold it so you cant accidently press a higher or lower temperature setting as you straighten (which I've done over a thousands times!)
It isn't too thick and it isn't too thin, I think it is the perfect size for any size hair.

Actually using the straightener, I was happy with it, but not completely happy with it. I am easy going when it comes to hair straighteners because I have thin hair and it's medium length so it never takes me too long to straighten it anyways. But it did take 2-3 times going over with it for it to actually straighten completely. So if you have really thick or long hair I probably wouldn't recommend this... Maybe I don't have it on a high enough temperature, but I try hard not to damage my hair so I am not going any higher (I have it on 200).

Since the straightener has the sensor on it, the top plate as a slight dent in it for the sensor is placed, causing the straightening process not to feel completely smooth. I have heard different people say it feels like the straightener sometimes pulls on their hair... I have never had this happen to me but you can definitely hear the difference. But again, I am easy when it comes to this so I look past it.

After straightening your hair I can safely say it stays straight for the whole day. in fact, it will stay straight until your next hair wash. This is what I love about this straightener because my old one, the VS str8 up hair straightener, didn't even last a day. I would come home from work at the end of the day with the ends of my hair starting to curl again. ahhh how annoying.

Doing curls with this straightener is amazing, also. the top of the straightener thins, making it easier to hold and easier to make curls.

So in conclusion, I like this hair straightener simply because it does the job and lasts a long time, as well as not damaging me hair as much as other straighteners. If you're looking for the same results, I would recommend this product. However if you have thick hair, wanting something quick and easy im not too sure how you would like this. It does take a few go-overs so if this is something you hate, I wouldn't recommend it for you. Then again, I have never used a straightener that you go over once and its completely perfectly straight that lasts until your next wash.

I hope you guys have found this helpful!

xoxo
